It’s been a busy winter for the Powderhorn crew!
We kicked off the season with a Martin Luther King Jr. celebration down at Powderhorn Park Recreation Center where we served over 700 Youth Farm plates of food to neighbors in our hood!
Farm Stewards, Asiya and Hawwa, kicked off after school classes at Powderhorn Park Recreation Center and Green Central school where youth are learning about vitamins in our produce, African dances, and eating whole meals together!
Project LEAD have been busy planning what we will grow in our farms and how we will get it to our hood!
LEAD celebrated the work of all five of our neighborhoods at an All Hood retreat. We had a great time getting to know one another and gathering around our organizational goals.
With so much we’ve accomplished this winter, and all this crazy cold weather and snow, we are excited to finally be able to welcome spring!
