Over the course of the fall Lyndale’s Farm Stewards have picked up some new skills learning how to preserve our harvest. This fall we’ve preserved tomatoes, beans, kale, and peppers coming from our CHT and Pillsbury farms and also from Hawthorne. We’ve been using this youth-grown food back in cooking classes to make veggie soups, chilis, spaghetti sauces, and more. We’ve also begun planning our next growing season to grow and preserve even more next fall!
