Last Friday morning the Blaisdell YMCA visited Lyndale Youth Farm for the first of five breakfasts together. Lyndale’s cook Heidi James baked up 120 scones to go with delicious orange slices to feed over 135 neighborhood youth. After the breakfast the Y’s Summer Fun kids joined our morning games for a round of Capture the Flag and ShipsAcross the Ocean. Our Lyndale School, Pillsbury, and CHT farms then gave farm tours and shared the joys and screams of playing Drip Drip Splash on a hot day.
