After much thought and careful consideration, we are saddened to share that Youth Farm has made the difficult decision to dissolve the organization due to ongoing financial challenges. Despite our best efforts to secure new funding, the uncertainty around grants and federal support has left us in a position where we can no longer continue operations.
This decision, made by our board last week, ensures we can wind down in a respectful and orderly manner. We are committed to fulfilling the remainder of our programming this week and working closely with our staff for a smooth transition. To our supporters, partners, and the communities we’ve served: Thank you. We are so proud of all the good work the organization has accomplished over 30 years and are deeply grateful to the youth, partners, and community members who have been an integral part of this history.
We will offer additional updates as we move through this transition, but please reach out if you have questions or thoughts.
With deep gratitude, The Youth Farm Board of Directors
Established in 1995, Youth Farm has developed from an upstart garden program into a multi-faceted youth development organization.
We engage hundreds of youth across the Twin Cities in leadership development, farm and food programming, and community events. Alongside young people, community members, and partners, we are building a youth-led food movement.Building a youth-led food movement
