John has practiced law since 2007, working in-house and growing his professional career with the American Academy of Neurology, a professional association comprised of 30,000 neurologists and neuroscience professionals dedicated to promoting the highest quality patient-centered neurologic care. John provides counsel to further the organization’s mission, minimize legal risk and costs, reduce litigation exposure, and ensure compliance. A lover of good food, John enjoys venturing out to new restaurants with friends and family. At home, he’s trying to learn the ropes from his wife Lindsey, an excellent cook. They enjoy each meal with their daughters, Mae and Georgie, and their 100lb Pyrenees-mix, Oliver.

Patti Hague, Board Treasurer

Patti is currently a nonprofit consultant specializing in interim leadership, change management, and staffing analysis. Patti’s last full-time position was Operations Director for Hearth Connection (a supportive housing intermediary addressing long-term homelessness). She has also held leadership positions at Big Brothers Big Sisters, HealthPartners (Community Relations), and the American Red Cross. Prior to that she spent 8 years in the field of disability advocacy. Patti has served on the boards the Minnesota Council on Foundations, HealthPartners, Minnesota Environmental Fund and Philanthrofund Foundation. Patti lives with her spouse Barbara in Minneapolis where they have a large vegetable and flower garden. Besides gardening, she enjoys reading and traveling as well as spending time with her two adult daughters.

Kenneth Edwards

Kenny has been working professionally with food since 2000 in areas including food safety, manufacturing management, quality assurance, and new product development. Currently, he leads the team responsible for developing new recipes and packages for natural and organic dairy foods. He brings a passion for food and nutrition access and community engagement to the Youth Farm Board. Originally from New York, Kenny now lives in Minneapolis’ North Loop where he enjoys exploring Twin Cities and their outstanding restaurants with friends.

Alex Lange

Teacher, Whittier School

Alex Lange works as a teacher for Minneapolis Public Schools. He began his education work through Minnesota Reading Corps and taught 4th grade at Nellie Stone Johnson Community School before his time at Whittier School in Minneapolis. He has worked with youth of all ages in educational and after school settings. He loves the excitement of food and community that can be found in community and school gardens.

Genevieve Saldibar

Genevieve has worked for Hyatt Hotels for almost 18 years in Food & Beverage Operations and Event Planning. An avid volunteer, she also head’s up her hotel’s Thrive Committee, Hyatt’s community service and corporate responsibility initiative. A few of Genevieve’s most favorite things are spending time with her husband and 3 children, cooking, eating and sunshine. As a south Texas native, she’s not a huge fan of Minnesota winters!

She has been involved in every aspect of Youth Farm’s programming throughout the years and has a passion for youth development that is second to none. Now an employment coach at Lifetrack, she brings over 15 years of experience of Youth Farm programming and nonprofit development to the board.

Diane Fisher, CPA (inactive)

Diane recently retired after a 40 year career working with non-profit organizations. As an auditor she worked with large international organizations as well as small local groups providing technical assistance in meeting their financial reporting and management requirements. After leaving auditing, she served several non-profits as their Chief Financial Officer. Her volunteer experiences have included membership on non-profit boards, pro bono consulting on finance related matters, working at a local homeless shelter, reviewing the work of a micro finance program in Liberia, and building a Habitat for Humanity home in India. Diane is an avid reader and yoga enthusiast and she enjoys spending time with her husband and adult daughter.

Amy Campbell

Amy’s background is in marketing and communications. She has worked at Lakewinds Food Co-op, Target and General Mills, and most recently, Lola Red PR. She brings a unique perspective, a combination of marketing and values-based experience that provides an important voice and perspective on the Board. Since 2017, she has assisted in the development of communications planning at Youth Farm.

Dorothy Dahlenburg

Dorothy retired a few years ago after serving and the Finance Director for WellShare International and VP of Administration and Development for Tree Trust. Prior to turning her focus toward finance, Dorothy served 20 years as development director for two MN non-profits and worked for the state of Minnesota as a marketing and outreach director. Since retiring she has served as treasurer on the Board of Directors of One Village Partners where she helped upgrade their accounting systems in the US and Sierra Leone. In addition to volunteering in the community, Dorothy enjoys reading, gardening, camping with her husband Tom and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Nathan Moen

Nathan’s background is in finance, accounting, and business operations. He loves good bookkeeping and thinks the role corporations play in their communities is essential to a healthier future. He currently works at Life Time, Inc. in corporate responsibility as the Business Operations Analyst for the Life Time Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that provides grants to school districts across the country to help eliminate highly processed, unhealthy foods from school meals. He supports all fundraising events and campaigns to fund grants to schools to improve the food system. Nathan lives in North Minneapolis and loves cooking, running, and spending time with his cat.
