Beverly Stancile, or Ms. Bev, as everyone in Hawthorne calls her, has been our Chef on the northside for the past two years. Her secret ingredient is LOVE and she puts it into every dish that comes out of the St. Olaf kitchen. Her smoked BBQ chicken at Harvest Fest was so good people are still talking about it and the plate of Greens they’re going to have next year! She is an incredible year-round mentor at Youth Farm encouraging young people on her block, in the garden as well as in the kitchen to develop their skills, learn something new and pass it on to others. We love you Ms. Bev and thank you for your support of young people in the community!
