We had a wonderful first day of Lyndale Youth Farm! So many of our participants are returning from summer and school year Youth Farm, and their excitement for today was unbelievable. Some highlights of the day included harvesting kale and spinach for tomorrow’s lunch, splashing about at the Lyndale Elementary wading pool, making memory jars to add to all summer long, and making granola bars for breakfast tomorrow. Our staff reflected at the end of the day at how little it felt like a first day, like we had just picked up right where last summer left off. Here are our staff sharing a little staff meeting snack of crepes and Somali tea, made by Project LEAD Ayan.
