Last week we at Hawthorne had a ton of fun preparing for our annual Spaghetti Dinner at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. We made spaghetti sauce out of our frozen tomatoes, bell peppers, butternut squash and basil from SOCC farm, baked fresh bread, made a kale salad with kale harvested the day before and baked a yummy butternut squash (that’s right squash!) dessert from our bountiful winter squash harvest!
